Privacy Policy

Understand browser calculator processing, local scenario storage, shared URL values, local downloads, Netlify form submissions, and future analytics or advertising requirements.

Calculator data

Calculator inputs are processed in the browser. The site does not require an account or intentionally transmit calculator inputs to Driver Pay Calc servers. A normal page request still creates standard hosting logs at the delivery provider.

The current package does not include third-party analytics, advertising scripts, payment scripts, or cross-site tracking pixels.

Saving, sharing, and downloads

Theme preference and explicitly saved scenarios use localStorage on the device. Shared scenarios place values in the URL hash; anyone receiving the full link can view them. Downloaded estimates are created locally in the browser.

Do not enter or share customer-sensitive, payroll-identifying, tax-account, banking, health, or confidential contract information.

Contact form and changes

The optional contact form is processed by Netlify and can include the information the sender chooses to provide. Form submissions may be used to respond, reproduce an issue, or improve the site.

This policy must be updated before enabling analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, email marketing, accounts, payments, or cloud-saved scenarios. Appropriate consent controls and vendor disclosures must be added before those features launch.

How this policy applies

This page applies to the public Driver Pay Calc website, its browser-based calculators, locally created downloads, locally saved scenarios, shared scenario links, and the optional contact form. It should be read together with the calculator disclaimer, privacy policy, and methodology.

If a feature, provider, or data practice changes, the relevant policy and interface should be updated before the feature is released. The review date identifies the latest substantive revision, not a promise that every external source remains unchanged.

Your browser controls

You can use a calculator without saving a scenario. Choosing Save on this device writes the visible scenario values to localStorage under the site's origin. Clear saved scenarios with the calculator controls or remove site data through browser settings. Clearing cookies alone may not remove localStorage in every browser. A theme preference is also stored locally.

A shared link places encoded scenario values after the hash symbol. The hash normally is not included in a standard server request, but it remains visible to anyone or any software that receives the complete link. Review it before copying, messaging, bookmarking, or screen-sharing. Local HTML estimates and CSV worksheets stay wherever the browser or operating system saves them; the user controls their retention, access, and deletion.
